Markers for Alzheimer's Dementia
Cerebrospinal fluid samples are analysed for the diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease. Various proteins such as Aβ and tau are analysed for their concentration. A typical Alzheimer's biomarker profile includes a decrease in Aβ1-42 and an increase in t-tau and p-tau.
