Paul Ramsey, The Patient as Person
Paul Ramsey can still be considered the most prominent proponent of the position that holds research on minors conducted purely for the benefit of others to be ethically unacceptable. He therefore continues to be frequently cited in discussion of these issues. Ramsey's book, in which he develops inter alia his argument for the ethical unacceptability of research conducted on minors for the benefit of others, was republished in 2002 by Yale University Press.
