In the review on comparative law concerning the regulation of preimplantation genetic diagnosis, embryonic research, research on human embryonic stem cells as well as reproductive and therapeutic cloning in Europe but also in selected non-European states, the attempt is made to present an overall look at the standards developed at the national and international level.
Thereto in the first part the corresponding regulations in the individual countries are presented in detail in order to give the reader a quick overview about code of practice concerning medical and health care legislation in Germany and abroad. Subsequently in the second part the corresponding international regulation agreements are summarised.
In the closing part the variety of regulation alternatives or options is illustrated, and typical examples are outlined so that commonalities as well as differences of international legal standards can be perceived.
