Normative justifications for sustainability: Theological approaches
Various motives can be identified within the framework of theological justifications for the concept of sustainability.
In a Christian theological justification, for example, the mandate to protect creation plays a central role. Pope Francis provides a very prominent approach here in his Laudato Si':
