Cloning of Human Embryos
In January 2008 a group of scientists published the first-ever successful cloning of human embryos. In this process the nucleus has been removed from a human adult skin cell and transferred into enucleated egg cells. The formed clones developed to the blastocyst stage. Their development was then interrupted for examination purposes.
